I woke up to the sound of natures call and dug my first "cat hole"
I washed my hands, packed up, started hiking and soon met Mark, a bird watcher from Madison, Wisconsin.
I saw some beautiful scenery
And met three brothers hiking together
I was overcome with the sweet smell of ponderosa pines when we transitioned from desert to forest.
and met a couple fellas out enjoying the epic views at mount Laguna
I found pine cones as big as my head
And then I saw a big bushy tail scurry across the trail. I hiked up to where it had crossed, looked over and there it was, a magnificent kit fox. We both paused, looked into each others eyes, and shared a special moment. I bowed, it bowed, and then it was off.
It was a magical day 3, 47.5 miles completed!
