Day 21 - 300 Miles, So Many Smiles.

I woke up in my man cave, satisfied with the protection it offered me from the elements that were swirling about last night.

It looked small on the outside but inside it felt quite spacious.

After hiking a little ways, I happened upon a stream that reminded me of the ones back home in Western North Carolina.

And crossed a really long bridge.

Shortly thereafter, I found some strategically placed rocks that signaled the completion of 300 miles.

The trail was covered in fragrant flowers.

And guarded by what appeared to be a stone griffin.

And a rather striking serpent.

It crossed the trail and then gracefully climbed the vertical wall next to the trail. I was quite impressed.

18 miles from the cave, I reached my day's destination.
