Day 56 - Bishop, CA

Our original plan was to hike out in the afternoon, but it soon became apparent that we all wanted to stay another night, so we did!

Bishop is a quaint mountain town, chock full of sporting goods stores and coffee shops.

I filmed a short video at the local western store and the proprietor was very gracious and hospitable.

I found a copy of "No Man is an Island" at the local thrift store, which was so exciting because I had found a copy of it back at Walker Pass and had just given my copy to Blackfoot the day before.

Upon leaving the thrift store, I saw Blackfoot across the street and he, Ben and I spent the afternoon adventuring through town.

Here we are hydrating at a dog park.

We felt welcome.

We felt welcome.

Blackfoot treated us to some AMAZING frozen drinks at Starbucks, compliments of a gift card he received.

Yum.

We were quite giddy.

We were quite giddy.

And then we walked next door to the local donut shop.

We spent the evening with friends at the motel, and I sang sweet songs with a local woman who was visiting some friends of hers.

I wish I could share our rendition of "You are my Sunshine," it was one of those moments where you feel like the angels are singing along.
