We headed out early and bid a fond farewell to our home for the past 2 days.
Ben arranged us a ride with some friends he met at a coffee shop. They live full time in a Sprinter van owned by their employer, Native Eyewear.
We all fit!
It was a fun ride.
We took some pictures at the trailhead and filmed a video for their company, hopefully it will make their website!
It felt good to be back in nature.
And I saw Nude Dude coming down the pass, he was ready for his trip into town.
I relaxed by a lake for a while and then headed back up the pass.
It was a gorgeous day.
And even though I hiked this pass just a few days before, the views were no less spectacular the second time around.
I saw this furry little critter grazing along the trail.
And hiked on into the setting sun.
I felt strong and hiked into the night, reaching the top of Glen Pass around 11 pm. It was so quiet up there. I hiked down a ways, stepping carefully on the snow laden path.
I found a flat spot to lay out my sleeping bag and called it a night, curious about the landscape that lay beneath the veil of darkness surrounding me.
