I love to climb. It feels good to my body and the views get better the higher you go.
Once we completed the rest of the switchbacks from the climb we started the night before, it was smooth sailing as we undulated along the peaks.
The skies cleared up from the night before and there was no longer a lingering scent of smoke in the air.
What's around the corner?
I tried posing for a picture on a rock outcropping but my knees got shaky and I didn't make it around before my 10 second timer went off.
I'm better than I used to be with my fear of heights, thankfully I'm getting regular practice with it.
It's interesting to see paved roads on the tops of mountains. I'm grateful these beautiful places are accessible to all.
Always a welcome sign.
As are signs of water.
"I see the moon and the moon sees me."
I settled in for the night near Little Jamison Creek and camped beneath the clear, starry sky.
